Okay, okay the thought of Donald Trump coming back from a future of racism and oligarch rule, in a time displacement sphere from The Terminator movie seems farfetched, but something is going on here. Although lacking the obvious physical prowess of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the thought of Donald Trump landing naked in Los Angeles may be disgusting but America is becoming his Sarah Connor. Our saving grace may be Robert, ‘Kyle Reese’ Mueller. The Trump-800 seems unstoppable, if you do not believe it, he will tell you himself. “I have the best words,” or “I was a great student,” and he will find you anywhere because he has “one of the greatest memories of all time.” There is no escape from the Trump-800.
Tragically the new Cyberdyne Systems is the White House and like in the movie, destruction is the ultimate goal. Part of the American resistance to the regime is railing against atmospheric crumbling, also known as the Paris Climate Agreement. I loved the first Terminator movie, although I thought the sequels were a little convoluted and contrived.
The reality of what is happening to America now is not contrived, although the President’s statements seem more convoluted every day. The famous “grab them by the pussy” video, widely seen and acknowledged by the President the same day it was released, he is now telling us was fake. Maybe, unlike Schwarzenegger’s T-800, Trump may have morphed into Robert Patrick’s T-1000 and did a little shapeshifting. The lying has gotten so pervasive from the White House that even a pie, allegedly, baked by Press Secretary Sarah Sanders has come under scrutiny.
What has happened to us…
The NY Times is writing puff pieces on Nazis, the President called members of that same group, “fine people” and the Republican Party is feigning disdain for Roy Moore but is ready to welcome an accused child molester into the arms of an impending tax cut for the rich. The American people may be reaching a watershed moment that has finally crested the shore. In the midst of fear, uncertainty, and death, Sarah Connor summoned her inner warrior and yelled at her protector Kyle,” move it, Reese, on your feet soldier!”
As corny as it may sound we need to stay on our collective feet and keep moving ahead. The previous President [Obama] was a brilliant man with ideas that could have forever changed the world and we let him down by not voting in midterms elections. What good is it to hire a fantastic carpenter and complain about the finished product when we refused to provide the proper tools. Sure, he may have measured a finger joint incorrectly, here or there, but having the tools to fix it was essential.
President Trump does not want tools. He refuses to follow any blueprints or ask the advice of more experienced builders. He is set on hammering a nail into the world community and driving it underground; withdrawing from the world of nations in his criticism of NATO, the Iranian Nuclear Deal, and the before-mentioned Paris Climate Accord.
