In the months and years leading up to the recent wholesale murder of his subjects, President Bashar al -Assad of Syria, has enlisted the aid of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. In August of 2013, former President Barack Obama, after having previously laid down the proverbial red line in the sand, went to Congress to get consent to start a ground war with Syrians loyal to Assad. Congress did nothing after months of criticizing Obama for not enforcing the “Red Line.” As has been proven for the past 75 days of the Trump Presidency, for Republicans it’s a lot more fun to say, “NO!” You get to blame the other guy and take no responsibility, for seven years, Republicans said no to healthcare, for seven years they said no to infrastructure, for eight years they said no, to President Obama. All the while giggling their way into full control of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government.
Republicans bow at the altar of St. Ronnie, maybe all along it was Nancy, “just say no!”
Now with majorities in the House and Senate and a Russian puppet to sign off, they seem unable to come to a consensus of what to get done first, ‘Who knew government was so complicated.’Having no effective plan or rapport with Congress, tweets and public signings of phony executive’s orders with celebrity coverage and flourish is what America’s Government has been reduced to. The constant flux and deflection of the current administration is head spinning, (maybe that’s what Trump meant) winning certainly does not have the public’s or my head spinning. Not a moment goes by in the Topsy Turvy world of Trump du Soleil that some shakeup or confession is not at the top of the news hour.
Oh boy, this just in, Steve Bannon has been removed from his role on the National Security Council. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/04/05/steven-bannon-no-longer-a-member-of-national-security-council/?utm_term=.e68c94e98afd.
I cannot get through a five-hundred-word story without checking the latest news. He[Trump] did say our heads would be spinning. Ambassador, Nikki Haley, is placing Russia in the fulcrum of balancing blame for the Syrian government’s chemical attack on its citizens. Yesterday, President Trump tried the ole, when in doubt blame Obama meme. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson or Jared Kushner’s surrogate, is issuing cryptic but meaningless statements to our allies about North Korea’s recent missile testing https://www.yahoo.com/news/tillersons-terse-words-seen-tactical-change-over-nkorea-080459181.html.
President Trump, the master of talking loud and saying nothing has spent the past few days blaming former National Security Adviser Susan Rice for his so-called wiretapping by former President Obama. In the interim, advocating for non-regime change of Assad. His show biz instincts took over and for some reason, in an interview with the New York Times he came to the aid of serial sexual harasser, Bill O’Reilly. This on the heels of proclaiming April as Women’s’ National Sexual Assault Awareness month https://morningdailies.com/2017/03/31/newswire-trump-declares-april-national-sexual-assault-awareness-month/. The contradictions, distractions, nonsense and just plain lies have America on a neurotic roller coaster. So pay your dollar, and in the words of Bette Davis in the conniving plot-line in the movie, All About Eve, “fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy night”
