Women Multitask Better than Men

The right-wing machine is gearing up to equate the Women’s March to the Occupy movement. The immediate reaction was to dismiss the numbers and declare it, pointless www.cnsnews.com/... .  I have listened and read right-wing pundits try the same minimizing tactics they used against Occupy by saying there was no cohesive message. The question was asked in various forms over and over, was the march ‘pro-woman or anti-Trump?’ My question is why are people under some delusion that women are unable to multitask? You can be pro-woman, pro-human rights and anti-Trump, simultaneously. I marched in anti-discrimination, anti-war and pro-Africanism marches in the 70’s and it did not overload my male brain.

Kellyanne Conway who coined a (soon to be vogue) way of describing a lie as “alternative facts”www.washingtonpost.com/... was outraged that singer Madonna, used profane and violent language to describe her dislike of President Trump.  Of course, I listened to the same woman[Conway] a few months ago, tell me I was overacting to then candidate Trump, giving verbal lessons on how to molest a woman against her will.  As the grandfather of three young women, I was not comforted by the explanation of locker room talk.  Kellyanne now tells me that women’s rights marches are pointless and I should not be afraid that the leader of the free world has signaled young boys all over the country, its ok to grab what you want, they’re just women.

The upshot of all this blatant manipulation of fact, is a group of budding and ambitious politicos throwing away their reputations and credibility to follow a serial liar. Sean Spicer, Kellyanne Conway, Steve Cortes and Paris Dennard, amongst others, have all taken their turn in the box of media scrutiny trying to hold onto dignity and defend a lie.  Ms. Conway has been the ring leader using phrases like, “…You always want to go by what’s come out of his mouth rather than look at what’s in his heart”www.washingtonpost.com/... and the now infamous “alternative facts.” From their defense of his mocking a disabled reporter, to stereotypical menstruation jokes used to belittle reporter Megyn Kelly, it is sad to see smart, energetic people smash their moral compasses on a world stage.  The follow the leader mantra has taken over.  Two weeks ago, President Trump likened the Intelligence Department(s) to the Nazis, Saturday he told them his animosity toward them was all made up by the press youtu.be/....  In 1944 the Movie Gaslight was released, in it, Gregory set out to drive his wife, Paula insane. If we are not careful, we can all become Paula, doubting our own eyes and denying our own ears. The barrage of tall tales and flaxen-haired charm that has taken over our psyche is dangerous.

The Republican party in 2008 warned about celebrity takeover, as Barack Obama gained popularity. They tried to destroy his candidacy by labeling him a novice who was nothing more than a name and personality.  Of course, they failed to mention the celebrity they still fete today, Ronald Reagan and have elected a guy[Donald Trump] who ran a TV program called, ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’

Women are workers, chauffeurs, teachers, mothers, doctors and nurses and that is before they even leave home; so, I think a little multitasking is well within their reach.  I marched in the 70’s and I marched Saturday

Vote in 2018, it’s not too late!
