In 1983 a high schooler, portrayed by Matthew Broderick, thought it would be fun to cheat his way into a better grade at school. Sort of like pulling the wool over the eyes of a voter. In his zeal to become the world’s best hacker he used a random dialer program and hit pay dirt, access to the nuclear codes
.
Now that Twitter is below his new station in life, Donald Trump is now toying with the idea of nuclear proliferation. With his new confidant in crime, Vladimir Putin, he and Mr. Trump are on a path to endanger the world like never before. I assume they both feel 14,000 nuclear weapons in the hands of two unstable narcissist is a safe bet www.nbcnews.com/.... This is not the first time the Trump train has ventured off the tracks. During the campaign, he suggested it may not be a bad idea if Japan, South Korea or Saudi Arabia possessed nuclear armament, you know just in case… The more I watch the news media trying to normalize this dangerous novice the more it frightens me.
Republicans are constantly talking about the future of our children, it has become part of their fear mantra; The deficit will kill their future, the climate change hoax will inhibit innovation or free healthcare will be the downfall of civilization but a thermonuclear weapon or two, ehh, whatever. In the past six weeks, our democracy has been turned on its ear by the fear of Russian interference in our election system and White Nationalism entering the White House. Now the President -elect of the United States of America, not having enough knowledge of world history, thinks that a return to the cold war seems like a good idea. Duck and cover citizens, duck and cover. This endless need for attention grabbing is what we expect out of spoiled children. The public eats up these distractions and we turn our attention away from the devastation that could really go on if the economic reversals Mr. Trump is planning come to fruition. I will credit Donald Trump’s best attribute, sleight of hand. While he pulls the makings of his own fiefdom out of his right sleeve with a plethora of mini oligarchs, he spins a shiny plate with his left hand to distract us. We ooh and ahhhh at the shiny plate while he makes ready to fill the coffers of his own enterprises and those of his rich minions. I recall back in 2015 he promised he would open up his taxes for scrutiny to silver haired, silver tongued conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt www.hughhewitt.com/....
HH: I got it, but I want to stay focused on the tax returns. How many years back?
DT: So the answer is yeah, I would do it.
HH: Three years? Five years?
DT: I mean, I would do something, but I will tell you up front, as a private person, Hugh, I would be, and you know, I’m very proud of this. I want to pay as little taxes as I can as a private person.
HH: Of course, Of course. That’s the American way, legally.
DT: You know, why should I be, why should I say I’m looking to pay a fortune in tax? It’s part of the complexity of the tax system.
HH: How many years back would you go on the day you announce? Three? Five?
DT: Oh, I don’t know. I mean, I actually have not even thought of that, but I would certainly show tax returns if it was necessary.
HH: At least a couple of years?
DT: Well, what have they been doing? They’ve been really doing one year, other than people that never made anything. But I would certainly, I’m very proud of what I’ve done. I do pay tax. But I’m very proud of what I did. I will say this. You will see piles and piles and piles of paper stacked many feet into the air, because the system is so complex that it’s disgraceful. And the tax system does have to be changed.
HH: That’s what I, you know, I think two or three years would be great. I think anyone, if you did two or three years…
DT: But we’ll take a good, strong look at that, Hugh. I mean, it’s obviously not something I thought of, but you know, I’ve given any real thought to, but I have no objection to certainly showing tax returns.
Enough said…
Vote 2018, it’s not too late!
