In 2010 future Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stated that the American public receives more financial benefits from the government than they pay, Mr. Ryan says this makes them, “takers rather than makers.” In fairness Mr. Ryan subsequently retracted his words but not his sentiment, “I shouldn’t have called them takers,” he said.
Mr. Ryan’s party is now in the corner of the biggest admitted taker in modern history, Donald J Trump. Trump surrogates in some convoluted twist of financial logic, suggest Mr. Trump in order to save his financial investors’ money, purposely loss almost a billion dollars in 1995 to skirt paying the succeeding twenty years of taxes. I have listened the past forty-eight hours, to former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Roger Stone and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie tell me that Trump’s virtue and business acumen is unassailable. Despite contradicting his own statements from the past(surprise) about hedge fund tax fraud, to influence buying, when Donald Trump does it somehow a transformation from hypocrisy to brilliance occurs.
During the Republican seventeen person debates, ‘The Donald’ admitted that influence buying has long been part of his business practice. In an August debate he said, “When you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do.” He then went on the berate his fellow opponents, “most of the people on this stage I’ve given to…” Whenever you point out these hypocritical inconsistencies to his followers the answer is generally some incoherent babbling about his, “telling it like it is.”
So I guess I am to understand that a man who publicly humiliates women, minorities, the poor and the uneducated is a champion of the people. I have heard two references to Donald Trump as a deity in recent weeks, Omarosa Manigault says we will have to bow to him in the future and that brings us to Sandee and Noreen in Novi, Michigan, Trump supporters who call themselves ‘Trumpettes.’ A quote from Sandee was rather jarring, “Trump is a ‘god’ who is going to come down and help us all." This bit of wisdom was the follow up to how cheating on your taxes is a behavior to be admired and copied and if you are fat it is deserved if you are ridiculed.
I think Donald Trump has truly missed his calling in life, BRAINWASHING! On the surface some of his followers appear to have escaped the basket but once they open their mouths you want to tag them deplorable stuff then back in and close the lid. I am sure Sandee and Noreen are unhappy and probably have some legitimate angry gripes. We all do, I hate the parking in Center City Philadelphia and running out of fixins’ for the world’s best cheesesteak is unforgivable, but I am not ascribing god-like qualities to Pat or Gino because they have a different idea for a sandwich.
We have been hijacked by the driver of a bus fueled by mass hysteria who is temperamentally unfit and is scared and threatened to face his own failure.
