Why in the under-world, are self-professed Liberals so anxious to associate the Democratic Party with the devil?
Jeff Weaver, the campaign manager for Senator Bernie Sanders, said recently that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has made a deal with the devil, “She really made a deal with the devil, and we know the devil wants his money in the end.” We have heard this rhetoric about Mrs. Clinton in the past but generally from the Conservative war machine intent on destroying the Clinton legacy. Whether it be murder accusations surrounding the death of Vince Foster, or the so-called lack of moral scruples in Benghazi, this is an old tune with classic lyrics, sung year after year. Hillary Clinton is a consummate politician, shrewd, calculating and driven. I have not seen her body scan, but I am willing to bet she is not branded with a 666 marking. She is playing in an arena that has compromised many men and women, and to be fair, in an arena that without some political savvy, you lose.
Author and Journalist Chris Hedges, accused Mr. Sanders of making a “Faustian Bargain” with the Democratic Party. Recently at the Democracy Spring rally in Washington DC, Mr. Hedges advocated scaring the, (I paraphrase) ‘crap’ out of politicians and quote, “that aint gonna come from voting.” I love the idea of change and drastic improvement. I am an African American, born in 1956, so I know radicalism has its place. I also know that for years, being excluded from political power by not having the right to vote or not voting once that right was granted is a losing proposition. No matter how much you hate the system sitting on the sidelines and booing has little effect on the game. Streaking across the diamond, field or court, only delays the next pitch, kickoff or tip, but the game continues.
Unless you are really serious about getting out there and backing a man or woman who will make drastic change, stop doing the job of Republicans by stifling the vote. Bernie or Busters and Hillary’s PUMAS, stop, stop, stop! Nothing prohibited Democrats from turning out in mid-term elections but apathy and laziness. I even had one critic tell me that President Obama said, “I got this, so what happened?” Has it ever occurred to those who took the posture of sitting back and waiting on him to make change, he was actually saying I have your back, watch mine?
Senator Sanders has had thirty years to amass a coalition of Independents to put him in the White House and create Sanderism. No tea-party style followers or twenty-thousand people rallies were attended, until now. Senator Bernie Sanders unfortunately, was left on an island to fish in the waters of his moral certainty, with few friends to help him bait his hook. So for the Chris Hedges(s), Jeff Weaver(s) and Susan Sarandon(s), who believe that Hillary will lead us to hell, “Hell hath no fury,” like a conservative theocracy.
