Whatever moniker you hang on your reason for exercising common sense, stop allowing it to eat our founders in search of a perfect meal.

In the past few days Democratic Congressman John Lewis, former Vermont Governor and progressive Howard Dean an economist Paul Krugman who authored the book, The Conscience of a Liberal, have been attacked, for daring to express a preference, by conspiratorialist who believe their backing of Hillary Clinton, is a plot devised by the “establishment.” Cogent argument is too often thrown out the window by bloggers and comment section junkies intent on upsetting a stable apple cart.  The other side has a bowl of nuts, what are we fighting about? No one is saying that sound reasoned disagreement can’t be used to decide on your favorite candidate but to fall into the bashing of Hillary Clinton for some sort of radical expediency is self-destructive.

Some of you are shaking your fist at the mention of Hillary’s name, but honestly who on the other side of the isle, should she win the nomination, would you vote for, or is it a matter of taking your ball home if you don’t get to set the rules. Congressmen Lewis, has seen more hatred and divisiveness in a lifetime, than any man should endure, and to be labeled an establishment stooge for Mrs. Clinton is not only insulting its preposterous. He’s earned the right of choice and the respect that comes along with it.

Former Gov. Dean, who has been roundly lauded as the man who initiated the fifty state strategy that enabled the election of the first Black President of the United States, has earned his stripes and the respect that comes along with it. For years, Paul Krugman has been pointed to as the economic Liberal of choice. He openly disagreed with the current President on his choice of economic advisors because he wanted a more forward thinking set of ideas. Krugman has been the, go to, voice of economic fairness and progressive countenance for the growth of the middle class and he’s earned that right.

He suddenly, is now a turncoat because he had the affront to bring into question the wisdom of the economic tax incentives Senator Bernie Sanders, plans for the elimination of income inequality and allow for free or low cost higher education. You cannot have it both ways. He cannot be an idiot when you disagree and a genius when you agree. That’s called a Republican, WE ARE NOT THEM. Krugman never said the Sanders approach would not work, he questioned the feasibility of the numbers. Let’s all calm down and remember the goal is achievable if we stick together.  I am willing to bet, each of these three men will vote for Sen. Sanders should he be the nominee.
