Judge Kavanaugh, Justice is not Blind to the Facts

It is without question that rape, sexual assault, and molestation are among the most heinous crimes in not only American jurisprudence but go against the biological synapsis of good men.  Let us make a quick list.  If Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed to the Supreme Court he will be the second serving Justice suspected of either sexual impropriety or attempted rape.  The number one supporter [ Donald J. Trump] of Judge Kavanaugh is a man who despite public denials, by his own recent admission of payment to Stormy Daniels, apparently cheated on his pregnant wife. He previously has crossed the lines of decency, in a now famous bus ride, and gave audio/visual instructions to the world on how it is done.

The former Senator from Louisiana, David Vitter, was allegedly caught with his diaper down in an unseemly tryst with hookers supplied by D.C. Madam Deborah Jean Palfrey.  Follow that up with an accused child molester [Roy Moore] the defeated Senatorial candidate from Alabama (also backed by Trump). The former White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter, who may have battered two wives, had the White House go out of its way to vouch for his character. The ties to impropriety are so deep in the current White House, a public breach in normal employee protocol allowed for a relationship between Porter and then White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks.  I am sure in the long history of the WH this is probably pretty common but the Trump administration is awash in indecorous behavior.

Stop banging your keyboards saying how about Bill Clinton, Al Franken, and Anthony Weiner. Clinton was recently lambasted by Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).  Al Gore, running against Clinton’s moral failings, may have cost himself an easy win for the presidency. Franken was run out of town on a rail by Democrats and Weiner is the name cast from the lips of Democrats and his actions partially led to the demise of Hillary Clinton by sparking a further look into the dreaded e-mail controversy.

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is now in the crosshairs of Republican hypocrisy, shades of Anita Hill. Utah Republican Senator Orrin Hatch pulled out his old scripts from 1991 and called Dr. Ford “mixed up.” In the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearing, he referred to Dr. Hill as ‘contrived’ and ‘lying. “I can tell you Clarence Thomas was telling the truth. I believe that Anita Hill was an excellent witness. I think she actually believed and talked herself into believing what she said.” This was Hatch doing what politicians do best—confirm and deny.

The blatant ignoring of what is before the Senate Judiciary Committee is stunning. I keep hearing the old refrain of he said, she said, that is not true. In the rarest of circumstances is there an eyewitness to an attempted rape but in this case, there is one, Mark Judge.   In what universe does someone admit to their presence to a possible sexual assault, not be subpoenaed to testify?  Chuck Grassley has decided that an eyewitness is an undue burden on due process…whaaat?  Mr. Judge admits he was a heavy drinker as a teen and Kavanaugh was one of his close friends. Friends do not drink alone. There was an interesting line in Judge’s letter to the committee outlining his reluctance to appear. The only reason I am involved is because Dr. Christine Blasey Ford remembers me as the other person in the room during the alleged assault, Judge wrote.  It sounds as if Mark Judge is admitting he was there, he needs to be under oath.

Vote in ’18 for Change.
