YES “ME” CAN!

In an effort to make some sort of rational sense of the apparent insecurity of so many, President Obama took action in an attempt to slow down the proliferation of illegal gun use in America.

The usual response to the actions taken by President Obama yesterday were predictable and indicative of the “Me, me, me-ism” infecting so many Republicans.  Donald Trump, accused the President of not working with Congress, Carly Fiorina threw around the usual invectives, “lawless, unconstitutional, blah, blah, blah.  The rest of the whining was about the overuse of executive action and violation of the Second Amendment.  The willingness to lie about the misuse of executive action, as if its exclusive to President Obama, were it not so damaging, would be laughable.  The President to date, has issued 226 executive orders as compared to 381 issued by Ronald Reagan and 291 issued by George W. Bush.  Of course the words lawless or overuse were never used  then because it benefited the “ME-ism” of the GOP; war. tax cuts, gun sales and racism.

The unabashed ridiculous nature of the conservative movement in this country has so infested the thinking of that portion of the electorate, that even the sincere tears of the President, who continues to mourn the deaths of twenty, six-year olds in Newtown, Connecticut, was mocked by Andrea Tantaros of Fox News. “So, I would check that podium for like a raw onion or some No More Tears,” she said.  What could be more humorous than joking about the grisly deaths of 26 people including 20, first graders?  Any joke, any ridicule, any target is fair game in the Republican bubble as long as it benefits the idea of “Me.” Obama bad, is at the heart of any criticism, any dispute any political argument.

Members of The Republican Party, have made pledges to Grover Norquist, The NRA and their current leading Presidential candidate has praised Vladimir Putin. As long as it furthers their attempts to undermine the President, its insanely reasonable.  President Obama, swore allegiance to the United States of America on January 20th, 2009, it appears the Republicans are willing to compromise the loyalty of their oath to office, and swear undying allegiance to the, United States of Me.
