I spend a lot of time pondering tactful words to use to describe the current Trump administration. I am running out of vagaries and innuendo. Simply stated, the President of the United States is an embarrassing, lying, con artist, who has infected everything and everyone he comes into contact. Unlike a lot of Americans, I respect politicians and feel the great majority are looking to do the right thing. Oh sure, we have had agenda driven Presidents since Washington. Some have been racist, some anti-Semites, some adulterers and some guilty of genocide. For fear of sounding like I am endorsing the ends justifying the means, I believe they all, even those who were wrong, held some sort of sincere conviction.
For the first time in American history, I think we have rolled craps. Instead of rolling snake eyes we just got left with the snake. A racist, adulterous, scammer who has elevated lying to a blood sport. Injecting his enemies with as many lethal lying fang bites as possible. Yes, I meant those words to be outrageous because I feel outraged. The woman who unleashes this serpentine barbarity daily, is Sarah Huckabee Sanders, wife, mother of three, Christian and a liar. She strolled onto the podium in the White House briefing room yesterday and said Donald Trump has always acknowledged that Russia meddled in our election process. She went on to assert he [Trump] has done more to counteract Russian aggression in one year than Barack Obama did in eight years.
Sometimes lying is its own petard, Ms. Sanders is so coiled in her own lies that it is getting hard for her to hem and haw her way through; “…the president hasn’t said that Russia didn’t meddle, what he’s saying is that it didn’t have an impact, …”
As the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller’s snare comes closer and closer to ensnarling the President the people willing to lie their way into jail for him seems to be shrinking. Rick Gates is negotiating, George Papadopoulos pleaded, Michael Flynn rolled, and a new player, Alex Van Der Zwann, a London based, Belgian-born, Dutch lawyer, entered a guilty plea and is reportedly ready to snitch. I know, I know it all sounds like Tom Cruise will jump from a helicopter and yell Mission Impossible, but the real world implications are frightening. There seems to be a growing and world paralyzing chance that the most powerful man in the world is no longer the President of the United States, incredibly it may be Vladimir Putin.
Whatever banking loans, porn star tryst or pee stained sheet being held over Donald Trump’s head by Putin, something has his sphincter as tight as his description of Haiti or Africa. So here we are back where we started the day after Donald Trump was sworn in—listening to lies from the podium in the White House briefing room. Phony crowd sizes, desecrating Gold Star families or screaming HILLARY will not be enough to keep Donald Trump out of an orange jumpsuit that matches his bottled tan.
