Battle Him (not Her) for the Republic

The battle for America is not being helped by poll watching Democrats.  The Senate Minority leader, a week after a poll stating that Democrats have no innovative ideas, is back to blaming Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Presidential loss.

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stupidly has spent the past four days worrying about polls as opposed to ignoring them in favor of principle.  People do not like Republicans, they are overwhelmed by them.  In the face of polls after the Sandy Hook massacre that indicated 90 percent of the population wanted gun registration reform, Republicans laughed.  When the President made up from whole cloth three million undocumented immigrants who all voted for Hillary Clinton, they allowed the formation of a sham commission to prove it.  Republicans do not respond, they swarm.

Hillary was pilloried for her Goldman Sachs connections; Trump supporters are hailing him for his clever choices of billionaires to ruin their lives.  Democrats need to stop cowering in the face of our principles being challenged.  A loss in the recent Georgia special congressional election for the 6th district by Democrat Jon Ossoff, (in a heavily Republican stronghold) immediately spurred a backlash against a successful Democratic leader, Nancy Pelosi.  I understand the need for new blood and fresh faces but Ronald Reagan was a year older than Hillary Clinton the day he took office and Donald Trump turned 71 in June.  Republicans do not worry about age, they thrive off the appearance of unity and strength.

Republicans have talked about a nanny state for years, but that is precisely what they have created for themselves. Elect a daddy, protect them from the hordes of brown invaders and spank them when they fail to live up to daddy’s expectations.

The irony of Chuck Schumer’s sudden realization that it was, ‘Hillary’s fault’ is that he quoted her ideas as the way forward, “A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future.”https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/politics/trump-had-the-art-of-the-deal-now-democrats-say-their-economic-agenda-is-a-better-deal/2017/07/22/c1f54b8c-6d56-11e7-9c15-177740635e83_story.html

If you check the pages of Hillary’s website https://www.hillaryclinton.com/ she tried expressing those very same views the entire campaign and her message was drowned out by the breathless sighs of cable news program anchors televising an empty podium awaiting the arrival of Leader Trump.  Republicans long ago devised and followed the strategy of destroying their young, minorities and the sick, Democrats have now decided to eat their old as a response.  Unfortunately, with that old garde is a history of tax reform, welfare reform, healthcare reform, environmental reform, banking reform and opposition to nuclear armament. The list is too exhaustive, so I will stop there.

A poll says, the Democrats have no ideas just opposition to Trump, and as per usual, the stampede to devour principle has begun.  Jill Stein,http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/07/23/jill-stein-issues-brutal-attack-on-dems-for-russia-conspiracy-theories-then-liberals-lose-it/, and  Chuck Schumer agreed this weekend that Russia is not a problem it is the Democrats failing America.  Stein had to know her twitter comments would rekindle the Hillary/ Bernie debate.  So why?

I guess what sounds like my early morning rant is my clarion call to continue to battle him[Trump] for the republic.  Arming Donald Trump with Liberal, Green Party and Democratic confirmations of his inanity are providing comfort to an insurgent presidency. This is anathema to American values, Democratic (big D) politics and Republicans willing to face the truth.  Mr. Schumer, there is one piece of Republican advice given to accident prone former President Gerald Ford we can follow, Democrats can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Vote in 18’ for Change.
