The “Big” Vague Announcement

The Trump administration is planning a “big tax announcement’ on Wednesday.  Yesterday, on a morning news and opinion show, Office of Management and Budget Director, Mick Mulvaney, announced in no uncertain terms, that vagueness is coming.  Mulvaney spoke about a great plan but said, “specifics…are still to be determined http://www.politico.com/story/2017/04/23/trump-tax-cuts-mulvaney-237488.  When asked by host Chris Wallace about the revenue neutral part of the Republican mantra, Mulvaney indicated, that was not important right now.  I guess at some point the magic plan will pay for itself.

The last time we heard that the George W. Bush administration wreaked havoc on the world’s economy and we are still digging our way out of the ditch.  Fortunately, we got President Obama who came in with a plan, not perfect, but a plan.  The Trump administration is the epitome of the term, winging-it. The payment for the border wall that was promised to be extorted from the Mexican government by Trump, is now part of some grand scheme to coerce concessions from Democrats on healthcare http://www.bdtonline.com/news/trump-pushes-wall-funding-in-spending-dispute-with-democrats/article_92aeebcd-cf81-5318-a1da-a85eb48eca51.html.

Anti-tax crusader, Paul Ryan, wants a border import tariff to offset corporate tax cuts to pay for the wall.  Ryan dreams of corporate tax cuts, health insurance vouchers, no more Medicare, unicorns, glitter and ponies.  Republicans have worked for eight years to rig elections through voter suppression and gerrymandering and their grand plan is to remove the dirt from the ditch former President Obama filled https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-04-21/trump-tax-plan-for-businesses-individuals-said-coming-next-week.  I find it hard to write seriously or coherently about Trump’s plans because he is unable to give coherent or cohesive arguments. Take for example the ongoing saber rattling with North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-un.  In response to Jong-un’s provocation two weeks ago, designed to unnerve South Korea, Trump tried to assure our allies and the people of America by announcing an “armada” was on its way.  In truth, the so-called armada was 3,500 miles away headed in the opposite direction http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/18/politics/carl-vinson-korea-trump/index.html.  The result was a disastrous word salad of excuses by the President’s Press Secretary trying to come up with a reasonable explanation for incompetent braggadocio. The people of America have been living in the middle of a running GOP SNL skit since 2008, starting with Sarah Palin and culminating with Donald J Trump.  I am waiting for him to become, the mostinteresting man in the world and sell beer.  How could he resist, everything through his orange colored glasses is either, terrific, huge, the most, the best or the greatest.  I just wish I was living in his world, the air up there must be great.

The next installment of Apprentice White House is scheduled for Wednesday.  Little deal, little facts, no specifics and wild applause from the biggest crowd, in the history of ever, to watch a presidential address. The American press has gotten the world conditioned to hollow vagaries. The sad part is, Donald Trump enjoys the notoriety, the fights and the money.  He [Trump] has parlayed the most prestigious house of governance in the world into a Ponzi scheme.  His children are unqualified puppets of policy.  Rich friends and heads of State are making deals to support his hotels, country clubs and businesses and both his children and Cabinet cronies are laughing their way to the nearest bank in the Cayman's.
