I Just Can’t See the Evil

From rapper/artist Michael Render (Killer Mike) to actress Susan Sarandon and Senator Sanders campaign head, Jeff Weaver, I am having a hard time dealing with the visceral hate for Hillary Clinton.

I am in agreement with some of the political opposition both geo-global and domestic, that turns them off to former Secretary Clinton’s politics.  My problem is with the Democratic faithful buying into this social construct that Hillary Clinton is some evil, purposeful, supervillain.  I expect, and even scoff at the Republican Party’s politically driven paranoia, calling her a treasonous purveyor of American secrets and a liar.  In some quarters they have literally accused her of being complicit in murder, not once but twice, in the cases of Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and former White House Deputy Counsel Vince Foster.

She coined the phrase, “vast right-wing conspiracy ” I am starting to see its effects on her own party.

Yesterday South Carolina Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, sauntered up to a microphone to give the final (maybe, since this is the eighth investigation) report on the tragic deaths that resulted from an attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi. Try as he might, when being asked yesterday, as in the past, about any blame placed at the feet of Mrs. Clinton, he levied the same unproven and unsubstantiated talking points followed by the same, I-don’t-know-look, that followed her eleven hours of testimony before his committee, last October.  In order for the conspiracy the Republicans posture to have happened, Sec. Clinton and President Obama would have devised a plan, in advance of an attack, to deny aid to Americans on foreign soil. The reason, because it was 56 days before the Presidential election and a terror incident would have meant electoral defeat.  Of course that flies in the face of Republicans telling us that getting President George W. Bush out of office, following 9/11, the biggest terror attack in history on American soil, would be a mistake. You know the old changing horses in the middle of the race theory.

Those who delude themselves, would have to believe Mrs. Clinton sat near her cauldron, hexed The Joint Chiefs, mesmerized the President of the United States, bamboozled the CIA and also finalized her plan for the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series.  I talk to liberal Senator Sanders’ supporters every day and the hatred they seem to harbor against Mrs. Clinton never ceases to amaze me.  The thing that disturbs me the most, is when I ask why, I get the voice of Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity echoing in my head.  No specifics, just lots of personal, theory based rhetoric, ending in, “I just don’t trust her.”

So now Susan Sarandon, surrounded by white privileged says let the village burn, I’ll watch from my patio.

Killer Mike, accuses Hillary of evil deeds against the Black Lives Matter movement because she engaged in a dialogue with them and challenged them to strategize an end game to their quest. Without a finish line, why run the race?

Lastly, Jeff Weaver, when repeatedly given the chance to soften his stance on Hillary Clinton when he said, “she made a deal with the devil,” chose silence.

As a middle-aged Black man born and raised in America, I’ve seen real evil with purposeful intent and Hillary Clinton, aint it…
