Don't just do Something, Stand there...

I am finding it increasingly more difficult to power up my TV and tune into so-called information and news channels because the absurd is becoming the norm.

The Europeans Union is on the verge of a crisis and MSNBC and CNN were broadcasting an infomercial for Trump Golf Courses in Scotland.  Mr. Trump fully engrossed in his narcissism, said the devaluation of the British pound was a good thing because it would bring a larger profit to his golf courses. World be damned according to the philosophy of Mr. Trump, I can make money.

It seems, Donald Trump sees an opening to spread his hatred around the world and a coincidental opportunity has afforded him a platform.  He had this trip to Scotland to promote his business interest planned long before the EU crisis.  Despite the objections of the GOP, who wants him campaigning, his personal interest far outweighs those of his fellow Americans. The British exit from the European Union, known as Brexit was tailor made for a self-absorbed charlatan like Donald Trump.   First of all, Republican nominee Trump if asked, probably would have said, Brexit was a new breakfast cereal.

So adorned in one of his Mexican made suits and Chinese pocket handkerchiefs, Mr. Trump is exporting his theory that the world should react as cowardly as he would, to an ever browning world. Of course he postulated that President Obama bears some responsibility in the British vote and that America also wants to take America back from whomever he imagines is ready to jump out of his closet with an AR-15.  His party of course thinks terrorist should be able to buy that sort of killing machine with fewer restrictions than buying a car.

Here we are again with a potential financial real crisis in the world and a Republican nominee worrying more about photo-ops than substance. Remember Senator John McCain wanting to suspend his campaign in 2008, to rush back to Washington and save the economy from the clutches of his own party.  I heard a Sanders follower hail the actions in England as part of the revolution and called for Bernie to re-enter the race.  Spoiled Americans have become the most prolific group of burying-your-head-in-the-sand-ers, I’ve seen since my last visit to the Ostrich pen at the Philadelphia zoo.  The moaning and weeping is tiresome, America is falling apart, we are mad, we want change.  The funny thing is the Republicans control the levers of power in Congress. The main reason is because no one is mad enough to vote.  Bernie voters, your revolution was not even enough to win a primary election and the Republicans have lost their collective minds.

Sure a lot of you are saying you cannot strong arm your neighbor into voting, but the next time you ask a guy in a small room if he could extinguish his cigarette, ask yourself why you’d speak up and value your health but not your future.  Is there really a difference?
